About the founder/ instructor
My experience with the fighting arts began in my teens
with Boxing, Golden Gloves and many
Judo tournaments. I enlisted in the
United States Marine Corps. As the Viet
Nam war was winding down, the Air and Navel Gun-fire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) asked
for volunteers to link communications with foreign
armies. I was assigned to the Republic
of Korean Marine Corps. Once there, I
was able to work with their Special Forces in Hopkido. Upon returning to the
United States, I volunteered for the Marine Corps version of Special Force:
Force Recon. I was soon assigned to their Boxing and Judo team. In the All
Marine Championships, I placed second in Boxing and first in Judo. I then represented the Marine Corps at the
AAU Judo Nationals. After leaving the Corps, I entered the world of
Pro-boxing. After getting my bell rung
once too many times, I found college to be a much safer and smarter place. Still interested to learn different forms of
Martial Arts, I found myself at one of Moni Aizik’s Commando Krav Maga
Seminars. I relished the philosophies and
techniques of CKM and found it to be something very different from other
martial arts. I wanted more. I interviewed with Moni for the instructors program and got accepted. It was the hardest and most
rewarding thing I have done since my days in the
Corps.
